Target Field’s 5G and venue network strategy is built around three core requirements: uplink capacity, longevity of the DAS and infrastructure, and adaptability to new spectrum, technologies, and use cases over time.
Technology partners for stadiums are selected based on durability, backwards compatibility, and the ability to upgrade in place (e.g., adding new bands like C‑band onto 9–13‑year‑old systems) rather than rip‑and‑replace cycles, aligning with sustainability and LEED/“greenest ballpark” goals.
