Questo tunnel di 2,3 chilometri \u00e8 in realt\u00e0 formato da quattro gallerie sovrapposte, due sopra e due sotto. I due tunnel superiori sono destinati al traffico locale, mentre quelli inferiori sono destinati al traffico in transito. Ogni tunnel comprende due corsie. Al di sopra del tunnel, in superficie, si trova una strada a due corsie con piste ciclabili e pedonali al centro, circondata da oltre duemila tigli. Questa strada \u00e8 destinata solo al traffico locale.<\/p><p>Quando \u00e8 stato costruito il tunnel Koning Willem-Alexander per ridurre il traffico, VolkerWessels Telecom (VWT), un'azienda integratrice di sistemi, \u00e8 stato scelta per garantire la copertura cellulare in questa nuova strada a due piani, grazie all'offerta di una soluzione unica che garantisce una potente connettivit\u00e0 cellulare. Per fornire comunicazioni mobili affidabili, \u00e8 stata installata una rete wireless estesa in tutto il tunnel.
